Extended summer, Sept. 2011, LOVE the heat, enjoying Kal Lake

Life has brought me to a place I hadn't anticipated, actually I didn't think I would make it to my birthday, the pain was so bad in January.  I struggled to overcome it, as I usually struggle over most challenges. Now I see June 14 as a kind of starting line, a big race where I have left behind any reluctance or timidity.
Baptism! Wanting to do it for so long, thinking I needed a scholarly grasp of the Bible but not so, all I needed was to see it as a beginning. And to be honoured by being immersed by my wonderful Pastor, along with 25 others in the lake Sept.10.
Thought I was going to settle in to the life of a painter, but instead I visualize employment using my degrees and experience, along with work for my political candidates for provincial and municipal elections, and involvement in the campaign for getting people into  appropriate  placement for their medical conditions.
And grandsons! " Nanny! Nanny!" Leap into my arms "Hi" says wee Westin. " Nana, let's go to the Park." says Kyan, just beginning Kindergarten. Two powerful daughters, one here mothering my boys, the other in Vancouver, sometimes overnighting in Kelowna to fly out early in the morning.
