Extended summer, Sept. 2011, LOVE the heat, enjoying Kal Lake

Life has brought me to a place I hadn't anticipated, actually I didn't think I would make it to my birthday, the pain was so bad in January.  I struggled to overcome it, as I usually struggle over most challenges. Now I see June 14 as a kind of starting line, a big race where I have left behind any reluctance or timidity.
Baptism! Wanting to do it for so long, thinking I needed a scholarly grasp of the Bible but not so, all I needed was to see it as a beginning. And to be honoured by being immersed by my wonderful Pastor, along with 25 others in the lake Sept.10.
Thought I was going to settle in to the life of a painter, but instead I visualize employment using my degrees and experience, along with work for my political candidates for provincial and municipal elections, and involvement in the campaign for getting people into  appropriate  placement for their medical conditions.
And grandsons! " Nanny! Nanny!" Leap into my arms "Hi" says wee Westin. " Nana, let's go to the Park." says Kyan, just beginning Kindergarten. Two powerful daughters, one here mothering my boys, the other in Vancouver, sometimes overnighting in Kelowna to fly out early in the morning.

Getting launched, it's all about the many forms of creativity

Happy day, a new website to work on and in,  ( http://www.)okanaganeye.ca/.  Persistence got me here, in many ways, like the proverbial 100 typewriters and 100  monkeys, I just keep pecking at different keys until I succeed. Don't know what I did to get here...didn't realize I was succeeding so didn't make notes of the path.
The steps to put pix on my web include going thru Jalbum, only 14,000 pix to choose from !!  Groan and crossed eyes and a big sigh...get to work! I'm working seriously to get my back in shape for all the hours of choosing and deleting pix.
Photography is my passion. I just bought another tiny camera, at $89. ( before tax) the Pentax Optio90 is a sweetheart, great for available light, seems to have built in polarizing.
Can't beat the Canon Rebel tho for closeups, and the zoom lens was good fun on Sunday, as I shot thru trees on Sovereign Lake Road and Silver Star Road to pix of Vernon from waaaaay up.
Need rest, lots of canning completed today, only 15 more jars to fill, obsessed? Off to the Fair tomorrow, I am still thrilled with the shots I got in '07, one where the full moon was caught in a ring of lights..later
